A little bird tells us that performing with the Fowl Players is one of Val's favorite pastimes. She finds great joy in the spontaneity of improv, the camaraderie of talented fellow actors, and the energy of incredible audiences. A lifelong educator, Val has taught at the high school, middle, elementary, and community college levels—where, as every teacher knows, each day requires its own unique performance and plenty of improvisation.
One of her favorite venues is the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, where she performs in both Murder Mysteries and The Polar Express™. A proud Mountain Maryland native now living in West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle, Val always cherishes the chance to return to Cumberland—where each visit feels like coming home.
CJ Stevens is thrilled to be a part of the Fowl Players theatrical group. He loves to be involved with pseudo homicides. His background includes many years of theatrical performances including Charlie from Charlie’s Aunt, Dr. Rank from A Doll’s House, many supporting roles and, his favorite, Scrooge from A Christmas Carol.
He was in Radio and Television as a Broadcaster, Sportscaster and Production Engineer. He was in film including: Class, Veep, The History of World War Two, Bonnie and Clyde, Evil Kin, The Mob and House of Cards.
He is excited to bring his murderous acting skills to WMSR and you, the passengers.
Jason got involved in storytelling at a young age. A gifted writer, he got involved in theater in 8th grade winning an award for an ensemble performance at an ELA festival. From there it was off to the races.
Performing in theater in high school would eventually lead to him working professionally in the MD independent movie business. He would be a part of over a dozen productions as a writer, assistant director, production manager and actor.
In addition to performing, Jason also has a passion for RPG's and creates video essays on the Gothic Horror Dungeons and Dragons setting Ravenloft, which he releases on his Youtube channel Ravenlore.
Recently Jason has joined Fowl Players to get back to his roots of live performances.
He can be found here on IMDB under the name Jason Patrick Presson
